He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Louise Garren Hartsell; his siblings, Junior Hartsell and Elizabeth Ann Hartsell; and his grandsons, Ricky West and Bradley Tucker.
He is survived by: his wife Mitzie Hinson Hartsell; his children, Michelle Hartsell Lamb (James), Tommy Ray Hartsell Jr. (Jennifer) and Jamie Glover; his stepchildren, Carl Wayne Callicutt (Stephanie) and Misty Maples (James); and his siblings, Nancy Burke (Wayne), George Hartsell (Thesa), Charles Michael Hartsell (Betty), Susie Tarlton (Danny), David Wayne Hartsell, Jerry Hartsell (Mary) and Michael Page. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
