He was predeceased by: his parents, John Melvin Harrison, Sr. and Joan Devere Roberson Harrison; and his siblings, Larry Gregory, Cathy Gay Harrison and Carolyn H. Jarvis.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Miller Harrison of Plymouth, NC; his daughters, Tara H. Harvey (Wyatt) of Plymouth, NC and Jamie Lee H. Borst (Chase) of Pantego, NC; his siblings, John "Butch" Harrison of Belhaven, NC and Alice H. Mullis of Jonesville, NC; and his grandchildren, Tyler Borst and Alexis Lee Borst.
