It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Missionary Arnita Cooper of Plymouth, North Carolina, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandson Donald W. Reid, Jr.; and her great grandchild Averi L. Cooper. She is survived by: her children, Frederica C. Morton of Decatur, John S. Cooper, Jr. (Debbie) of Plymouth, NC, Felicia Cooper-Reid (Donald, Sr.) of Elizabeth City, NC and James D. Cooper (Kizzy) of Winston Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Elisa D. L. Reid, Kendrick L. Cooper, John S. Cooper III (Angela), Ebony J. Reid, Jaelon D. Cooper, Jayden D. Cooper and Miracle J. Cooper; her great grandchildren, Ariel N. Cooper and Dallas Lanier Reid; and her sisters-in-law, Geneva Smith of Plymouth, NC and Mary Cooper of Plymouth, NC. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
