He was predeceased by: his parents, Garfield Jones and Alice Pike Jones of Pleasant Hill; his former wife Carolyn Elaine Jones; his siblings, Edith Catherine, Richard, Elizabeth, Barfield and Raeford "Tad"; his in-laws, Ronnie, Donald, Carol, Horace, Doug, Lucion Jones and Lewis Murphy; his grandson Sawyer Quinn Thomas; his daughters, Joy (Jarrett Wynne), Holly (Robin Sanderson) and Jenny (Jeremy Rouse); his granddaughters, Rachel and Alice Lyn Turner; his children, Kenly, Bryan Long, Karly Wynne, Mackenzie Thomas (Austin), Hanna, Morgan, Blake Batchelor, Raegan Rouse (Carlie) and Cassidy Rouse; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Jennings and Dianna Long; and his grandchild Baby Batchelor.
He is survived by: his children, Duane Jones and Regina Ray Jones Turner (Michael Turner); his wife Barbara Quinn Cooke; and his in-laws, Ercel, Carlton Radford, Betty, Glenn Creel, Barbara, Merwin Sanders, Jack, Darnell Jones, Kathy Jones, Janet Jones, Winzell, Evelene Taylor, Judy Jones, Ricky Jones, Ellen Murphy, Rose, Bobby Murphy, Michelle and Gary Mills.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Howard-Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504).
