He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Lesley and Rosa Lee Lewis Ward; his spouse Shirley McLaurin; his children, David Ward (Sharon) of Tobaccoville and Shari Hunt (Tom Neill) of High Point; his grandchildren, Bethany Ward and Andy Hunt (Faith); his brother Roy Ward (Maxine) of Hampstead; and his sisters-in-law, Debbie Reynolds of Pleasant Garden and Jane McLaurin of Greensboro. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
