He is survived by: his grandson Owen; his wife Marcia Boles Brewer; his parents, Julia P. Brewer of Greensboro and Willard "Peaches" Brewer (Brenda) of Rocky Mount; his sister Julie Brewer of Raleigh; his stepdaughter Megan Spencer of Thomasville; and his stepbrother Don Lewis of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sam's memory to the Oak Ridge Hunt Club, 10783 Raleigh Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
