She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald W Lyon; her daughter Ronda Jean Lyon; her son-in-law Leo Alina; and her parents, Rev. Michael Barrett and Rev. Robert Hefner.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Lyon Alina of Groton, CT, Sandy Lyon Martin (David, Sr.), Tammy Lyon Henderson (Mark) and Mary Lyon Pearsall (Greg); her grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy Alina and Raychel Alina Morelli; and her children, David Jr., Shelley, Anna Martin, Andrew, Aaron Henderson, Spencer, Grace and Sarah Pearsall. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Forbis & Dick Funeral Service - Pleasant Garden Chapel (4601 Pleasant Garden Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Garden Baptist Church (1415 Neelley Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313-9511). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Guilford Memorial Park (6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407).
