She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerrie Johnson and Gertie Ingool Johnson; her spouse Jimmie Rayford Norris, Sr.; and her siblings, Mary Lou Johnson Parsons and Gerrie Johnson, Jr..

She is survived by: her sons, Jimmie R. Norris, Jr. (Sandee) of Pleasant Garden, Kenneth R. Norris (Crystal) of Greensboro, Randy T. Norris (Renee) of Greensboro and David W. Norris (Inga) of Helen, GA; her sister Katherine "Kate" Johnson Spivey of Petersburg, VA; and her grandchildren, Jesika Crane, Heather Norris, Aaron Norris, Stephen Norris, Kyndall Smith, Akers Oglesby, Noland Oglesby and Ashley Anderson. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
