He was predeceased by: his siblings, Charles, Jake, Rickie Leggett and Allyson Martin. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sons, Jason (Angie) of Greensboro, Chad (Christina) of Greensboro and Brad (Jennifer) of Mooresville; and his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Isabella, Vivian, Liam, Conner, Eli and Nash.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Garden Baptist Church (missions ministry) 1415 Neelley Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
