He was predeceased by: his brother Clay Lee Elkins. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Tuffy" Murray Elkins; his daughter Christy Michelle Campbell (Brady); and his nephew Kenneth Elkins (Kathy).
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Christ Wesleyan Church (2400 S Holden Rd, Greensboro, NC 27407). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
