She was predeceased by: her son Tony Oakes. She is survived by: her husband Reverend Jack Oakes; her daughter Angela Oakes Flynn (Michael); and her grandchildren, Wesley Oakes, Heather Snelling (Nate) and Brandon Oakes. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
