It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma O'Daniel of Pittsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 11, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Garrett and Lillian Cothran Garrett; and her siblings, Thomas Garrett, Eugene Garrett, Ernest Garrett, Thaddeus Garrett, Jim Garrett, Jeanette McLaurin and Mildred Page.

She is survived by: her husband Steven O'Daniel of Chapel Hill, NC; her sons, Brandon O'Daniel (Julianne) of Chapel Hill, NC and Brent O'Daniel (Beverley) of Cary, NC; her grandchildren, Tolson, Finn, Phoebe, Katie, Glenn and Caroline O'Daniel; and her siblings, Theodore Garrett of Pittsboro, NC and Glynda Roberts. She is also survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Orange Chapel United Methodist Church General Fund, 1634 Orange Chapel Clover Garden Church Road Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
