She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Gooch and Carrie Oakley Gooch; her son Andrew Louis Ripley, III; and her brother Paul Gooch. She is survived by: her husband Andrew Louis Ripley, Jr.; and her sons, Thomas R. Hayes (Leslie) of Winston Salem, NC, Ector "Pat" Hayes (Diane) of Pittsboro and Dana Ripley (Paula) of Durham, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
