She was predeceased by: her parents, London Reaves and Dicey Scurlock; her husband Johnie; and her brothers, Fred, Ruben, Wilbert and London, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Johnie London (Judy) of Moncure, NC, Elna Smith of Durham, NC, Cynthia Suggs of Durham, NC and Annette Alston of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Carla, Bryan (Sherrice), Kendra and Karl, Jr.; her great grandchildren, DeAndra "DeeDee", Anthony, Lauren, Sophia and Karl, III; and her siblings-in-law, Joseph Alston (Fleta) of Durham, NC and Hazel Alston of Pittsboro, NC.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
