She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank and Bessie; her husband George Scurlock Sr.; her granddaughter Joni Prater; and her aunt Patsy Banks.
She is survived by: her children, Shinzuia Scurlock Whitfield of Morrisville, George Clifton Scurlock Jr. (Judy) of Pittsboro and Shekethia Scurlock Edwards of Pittsboro; and her grandchildren, Michael Whitfield (Lynaee), Josh Prater and Victoria Edwards-Cotton (Taij). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
