She was predeceased by: her parents, James Curtis Spivey and Tannie Mae Hight Spivey; her husband Joseph "Joe" Cox; her siblings, Hilda Talley and Buddy Spivey; and her granddaughter Cassidy Raquel Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Ryan (Mike) of Pittsboro and Joey Cox (Donna) of Pittsboro; her grandchildren, Carly Johnson (James), Katherine Meadows, Christopher Ryan (Amber) and Dalton Cox; her great grandchildren, Henry Johnson, Riley Meadows, Calvin Johnson, Jasper Johnson and Sarah Meadows; and her sister Doris Ashburn of White Hill, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Nancy's memory to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036.
