With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Lewis of Pittsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 26, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Nancy Tarczy and Ned Schroeder; and her pets, Rebecca, Hawkeye, Trapper, Lt. Dish, Hotlips, Tommy, Kroger, Chessie, Maia, Rita, Kiri, Jimi, Phoebe, Forest and Donna.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie; her brother Pete Schroeder; her sisters-in-law, Linda of Flagler Beach, FL and Barbara Lewis of Wilmington, DE; and her pets, Maude, Eva, Goldeneye, Momcat, Lynley, Morse, Gemma, Fern, Nicola and Charlie. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews; by close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Martha's memory to Independent Animal Rescue P.O. Box 14232 Durham, NC 27709-4232.
