It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Greiner of Pittsboro, North Carolina, born in Sharon, Connecticut, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his nephew Jonah Zimlinghaus. He is survived by: his wife Janice Greiner; his children, John D. Greiner (Kristin) of Pittsboro, Amber Swicicki (Thomas) of Alpharetta, GA and Caitlin Cannavaro (Taylor) of New Preston, CT; his stepsons, Michael Harris (Filamina) of Pittsboro and Matthew Harris (Lori Alderman) of Kent, CT; his grandchildren, Nolan, Louise Greiner, Lucas, Owen, Kellan Swicicki, Addyson, August, Aubrielle, Rowan Cannavaro, Giavonna, Lorenzo Harris, Aidan and Baylee Alderman; his siblings, Mark Greiner (Amy), Lisa Maughan (Antony) and Amy Zimlinghaus (Joshua); and his stepsiblings, Butch Syx (June), William Syx (Dixie) and Maria Spencer (Loren). He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews; and 9 great-nieces and great-nephews.
