She was predeceased by: her parents, John Downey and Noema Dupuis Downey; her granddaughter Alexandra Springer; and her brothers, James, John, Charles and William.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Emery of Pittsboro; and her children, Allison Springer of Siler City, Robin Sacobasin of Chelsea, John Emery, James Emery of Piermont, Shannon Thomas (Donald) of Norwood, Jennifer Baron (Raymond) of Marlborough and Jason Emery (Amakca) of Blackstone.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Jane's memory to United Leukodystrophy 224 N. Second Street, Suite 2, DeKalb, IL 60115.
