It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Toon of Pittsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 24, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Toon and Hazel Sherwood; his former wife Kay Henshy; his siblings, Jack Toon and Shirley Fary; and his brothers-in-law, John Fary and Henry F. Labrecque Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Toon; his sister Diann Mellott; his siblings-in-law, Effie Labrecque and Richard Labrecque (Sharon); and his pet Shug. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, many dear friends.
