He is survived by: his wife Amy Derck; his children, Matthew Derck (Jenette) of Colorado and Melanie Jacobs (Jim) of Sanford, NC; his stepsons, Robert Ward of California and Matthew Ward (Aimee) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Oliver, Grant, Clara Jacobs, Saryn and Charlotte Ward; his sister Rene Fobean (Don) of Ohio; and his nieces, Katie Fobean and Samantha Fobean.
