He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Emmett Martin Hedgepeth, Sr. and Lacy Smith Hedgepeth; and his brother Charles Lacy Hedgepeth (Jane). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dunnavant Hedgepeth; his daughters, Caroline Walter (John) of Dauphin Island and Courtney Edwards-Knoll (Sam) of Durham, NC; his grandchildren, John Martin Walter, Griffin Edwards, Hunter Knoll and Jack Knoll; and his brother Edwin Smith Hedgepeth (Sally) of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
