She was predeceased by: her husband Bennett Lee Owens; her son Timothy Dwight Owens; and her parents, Clarence Earl Richards and Harriet Hunt Richards. She is survived by: her brother David O. Richards of Newark, Ohio; her children, Christopher Lloyd Owens of Austin, Texas, Stephanie Owens Lurie of Montclair and Cynthia Richards Owens of Durham; and her children-in-law, Philip Bors, Mark Lurie, Susan Owens and Sudarat Owens. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
