He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Lois Petree (Ziglar); his daughters, Betty June Petree Houser and Lynette Petree Johnson; his wife Mildred Braxton Petree; and his siblings, James Otis, Ted Wesley, Doris Louise Wilson, Kenneth Alvin, John Harold, David Lawrence and Lester Lee.
He is survived by: his brother Joseph R. Petree of High Point, NC; and his grandchildren, Bonnie Houser Eggers (Jeff), Rhonda Balaban (Scott), Edwyn Houser, Joy Houser, Pamela Bunn Murgatroy (Edwin) and Timothy Michael Conway (Tia). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 4great great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
