He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Whitt and Mazie Sumner Whitt. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Roberson Whitt; his children, Pam Whitt Brady (Phil Brady) of Bennett, Donna Whitt (Wade Minges) of Pittsboro, Robin Davis (George Davis) of Pittsboro and Jamie Whitt (Tiffany Whitt) of Bear Creek; his brother C. D. Whitt (Lucille) of Sanford; and his grandchildren, Corey Sturdivant, Whitney Brady Clendenin, Chloe Brady Lundy, Michaela Brady Buchanan, Sawyer Whitt, Cody Whitt, Tanner Whitt, Jonah Minges and Eli Minges.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions to be made in Don's memory to Pittsboro Baptist Church and the American Heart Association.
