With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Colleen Cook of Pittsboro, North Carolina, born in Mount Vernon, New York, who passed away on October 7, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Dugan and Pauline Senita Dugan. She is survived by: her husband Peter Cook; her sons, Ian Cook (Amanda Barnes Cook) of Carrboro, NC and Graham Cook of Boulder, CO; her grandsons, Simon and Elliot Cook; her siblings, Donna (Ken Alleyne-Chin), James Dugan of Palm Coast, FL, Timothy (Barbara Dugan), Robert (Carol Dugan), Theresa (Glen Vahjen) and Thomas Dugan of Cortland, NY; and her sister-in-law Susan Cook of Stamford, CT. She is also survived by eighteen nieces and nephews, many lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution in Colleen's memory to a charity dedicated to reducing global poverty, such as Give Directly, Heifer International, or Oxfam International.
