She was predeceased by: her son Aric Thomas Walter Herndon. She is survived by: her husband John Rufus Herndon; and her children, Yan Christian Frederick Hassell (Regina Marie Hassell) and Jara Christiana Katharina Herndon (Christopher Ryan Howard).
