It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Burnice Gray Sr. of Pittsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Gray and Bernice Taylor Scurlock; his sisters, Ruby Gray and Willie Mae Crump; and his grandparents, Eurie and Willie Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Janice White Gray of Siler City; his children, Burnice Gray, Jr. (Sheri Gray) of Pittsboro and Tiandra Gray of Cary, NC.; his siblings, Sandra Foxx of Bonlee, NC, Joseph Scurlock, George Scurlock of Pittsboro and James Leon Scurlock (Princetta) of Walkertown, NC.; his uncle J. D. Taylor of Pittsboro; his aunt Faye Crump of Yonkers, NY; and also J. P. Alston of Pittsboro. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren, one step-great grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
