“Bruce was a loving person and a true friend. We got to know one another one day when I had a flat tire on my bike. It was 100 degrees out and Bruce stopped before he recognized me from Band Boosters. He would have helped anyone. As he drove me home, we got to know one another. From then on, at each concert, banquet, or loading and unloading of instruments at competitions, he was my friend. Connor, you made him proud and he loved you beyond words. You are a wonderful legacy for a wonderful man.”
