He was predeceased by: his parents, Stencil L. Arrington and Amy Hendren Arrington; and his siblings, Gaynell Fields, David Arrington, Lewis Arrington and Jack Arrington.
He is survived by: his wife Vergie Hackney Arrington; his daughters, Lee Ann Churchill (Robin) of Carrboro and Amy Williams (Todd) of Pittsboro; his siblings, Herbert Arrington of Chapel Hill and Becky West of Spring Lake; his grandchildren, Tori Churchill (Robert Hagerty), Tyler Churchill (Catherine), Josh Womble (Leslie Eades), Jeremy Womble, Blake Schemmer and Blair Schemmer; and his great grandchild Serene Womble.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Bobby's memory to Lighthouse Baptist Church 12063 15-501 Highway North Chapel Hill, NC 27517.
