He is survived by: his former wife Alma Sanders Frye Arnold; his son Wayne Reid Frye; his daughter-in-law Evelyn Frye; his brother Merle Frye; his stepdaughters, Sherry Ellis Myers and Donna Ellis Ferguson; his wife Betty Maness Ellis Frye; his children, Scottie Frye of Moncure, NC and Marilyn Grant (Warren) of Apex, NC.; his grandchildren, Kevin Spivey (Natasha) of Sanford, NC, Bruce Colmon Collins III (Amy) of Chapel Hill, NC, Victoria Cotten (Jamie) of Pittsboro, NC, Brandi Dowdy of Carthage, NC, Melissa Martinez (Chilco) of Burlington, Mandy Frye and Abby Grant of Louisburg; and his stepson Stephen Ellis. He is also survived by Ten great grandchildren; and three great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
