She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Charlie, Annie Hackney, S. L. and Amy Arrington; and her mother-in-law Susie Thomas.

She is survived by: her husband Herbert Thomas of Pittsboro, NC; her parents, Bobby Arrington and Vergie Arrington of Pittsboro, NC; her children, Blake and Blair Schemmer; and her siblings, Lee Ann and Amy Williams of Pittsboro, NC..
