She was predeceased by: her parents, Burke Head and Cora Smith Head; her former husband Benjamin Warren Britt; and her siblings, Edith Lorene Head Sutton, Lois Ophelia Head Hardy, Cora Blanche Head McKenzie, Ross Wilson Head and Woodley Kent Head.
She is survived by: her children, Lewton Steve Britt and Lisa Gay Britt; her husband William Brent Sutton; her sisters, Elizabeth Ann Head Jackson and Brenda Sue Head Killette; her daughter Connie Elaine Samaniego (Enrique); her grandchildren, Eric Samaniego, Carmen Samaniego and Lisa Gay Britt (John Middleton); her great grandchildren, Benjamin David Middleton and Jennifer Annie May Middleton; her stepson William "Bill" Sutton (Dianna); her stepgrandchildren, Lisa, Casey, Ashleigh, Ethan, Deborah Moyer and Elizabeth "Liz" Sutton Shelton (Dan); and also, Allison and Avery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Orange United Methodist Church, 1220 M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 if desired.
