She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph R. "Joe" Powers; her parents, William T. Bennett, Jr. and Hazel Parker Bennett; and her sister Vickie Bennett. She is survived by: her children, Deirdre "DeeDee" Powers Dean of Bennett and Joseph Lundy Powers of Juneau, AK; her siblings, Pamela Bullock of Mebane, Deborah Christensen of Hillsborough and Mark Bennett of Durham; her grandchildren, Catherine Powers, Cassie-Anna Dean, Caroline Powers, Trinity Dean, Lydia Powers, Brianna Powers and Phillip Dean; and her sisters-in-law, Kay Simpson of Carthage and Joyce Powers-Bissette of Bennett.
