He was predeceased by: his father Andrew Louis Ripley, Sr.; his wife Shirley Marie Gooch; and his son Andrew Louis Ripley, III. He is survived by: his sons, Thomas R. Hayes (Leslie) of Winston-Salem, Ector P. "Pat" Hayes (Diane) of Pittsboro and Dana M. Ripley (Paula) of Durham. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
