It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veda L. Goldsmith of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Allen Erwin and Bertie Matthews Erwin; her husband Tommie Goldsmith; and her sister Virginia Erwin Huntley of Bat Cave. She is survived by: her children, Julia Lynn Goldsmith and Benjamin Erwin Goldsmith of Pisgah Forest; her brother Oliver Allen Erwin (Ollie) of Arden; her niece Sheilia Huntley Wasch; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Rachel and Spenser of Fletcher; her nephew Scott Goldsmith (Cherie); her great-nephew Colton of Penrose; her nephew Kevin Goldsmith (Missy); and her great-niece Annabelle of Penrose.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Mills River Life Enrichment Center (Ruth Williams: Director) at Mills River Methodist church, or to the Elizabeth House Hospice Center in Hendersonville.
