With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard McKinney of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2021 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard McKinney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinney and Olive Lusk McKinney; his former wife Rue Waldrop McKinney; and his siblings, Lee McKinney, Linda Black, Margaret Jenkins, Lola Cole and Thelma McKinney.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Elliot McKinney; his children, Yvonne Hogsed (Darrell) of Brevard, Sheila Mann (George) of Fort Smith, AR, Millie Worley (Keith) of Pisgah Forest, NC and Fay Cameron (Donald) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Kristen Nardone (Jason), Tracey Conner (Luke), Adam Hogsed, Jeremy McCoy (Melissa), Adrienne Hall, Jordan Hall, Christopher Cameron (Elizabeth), Michelle Bulwinkle (Joe), Angie LaFlamme (Shawn), Michael Cameron (Brittney) and Carrie Leahy (Ryan); his brothers, Jerry McKinney (Dean) of Asheville, NC, Bill McKinney (Annette) of Charlotte, NC and Doris'; his stepdaughter Teresa Kennedy (Tom); and his grandchildren, Tracy Hanrahan (Brian) and Brandon Chandler (Ashely). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
