He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Etters and Ruth Ducker Etters; and his siblings, Virginia Sue Etters and John William "Johnnie" Etters. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Reece Etters; his sons, Chad Etters (Melissa Hurst), Trevor, Kyle, Logan, Nelson Etters (Samantha Tutton), Matthew and Cameron Howard; his grandchildren, Austin Cole Etters, Kristin Etters (Christian Larkin) and Oskar Nils Etters; and his great grandchild Ella Rae.
