She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lyday and Thelma Baynard Lyday; and her husband Ortwin Goede. She is survived by: her son Eric Goede (Melissa) of Pisgah Forest; her siblings, Steve Lyday (Alice) of Brevard and Joyce Phillips of Pisgah Forest; and her grandchildren, Heather, Andrew and Nicholas Goede. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
