He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Perkins and Katie Perkins. He is survived by: his wife Susan Perkins; his children, Tyler Perkins, Michael Birkle, Daniel Birkle (Jessica), Jessica Worthan (Josh) and Steven Birkle (Kate); his brother Jeff Perkins (Kim); his niece Julie Perkins; and his nephew Robert Perkins. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
