She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Leyda and Joanne Leyda Schneider. She is survived by: her husband Dale Buchanan; her children, Jennifer Buchanan Owens (Shane) of Pisgah Forest and Matthew Buchanan (Christy) of Fletcher; her granddaughters, Claire Owens and Mirabelle Buchanan; and her siblings, Mary Zajac (Michael) of Brevard, Margaret Leyda of Fletcher and Edward Schneider of Miami, Fla. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew's aunts, uncles, and cousins.
