He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry "Gene" Lawson and Rose Alice Reedy Lawson of Austinville; his wife Hazel Jean Cochran Lawson of Pinnacle, NC; his sons, Brian Lawson and Brad Lawson; his grandchildren, Kal-El Lawson of Virginia, Sarah Nester (Casey), Joseph Collins (Olivia), Angel Simcox (Tanner), Jessica Wriston, Savannah Wriston, Thomas Fortune and Michael Fortune; his great grandchildren, Ben, TJ, Sophie, Finn and Henry; his sister Rosemarie Cheney (Dale) of Auburndale, FL; his nephews, Matthew and Stephen Cheney; his great-niece Katie Cheney; his grandfather Harry C Lawson; his brother Danny Lawson; and his son-in-law Kevin Fortune.
