He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Eugene Simmons and Margaret "Jean" Johnson Simmons; and his nephew Matthew Eugene Jessup. He is survived by: his sister Kelly Simmons Jessup (Dwight Lee Jessup); his nephew Daniel Aaron Jessup (Luke Edward Williams); his great-nieces, Annabelle Jean Jessup and Zipporah Joan Jessup; and his great-nephew Destin Orion Jessup.
