He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Sutherland and Loretta Sutherland; and his brother-in-law Wayne Barber. He is survived by: his wife Tina Rea Sutherland; his children, Kenny Sutherland (Amanda) and Cellena Hauser (Steve); his siblings, Dwayne Sutherland (Kathy), Phyllis Fusco (Don), Donna Barber and Wanda Sutherland; and his grandchildren, Skilar, Trista Hauser, Lexi and Abby Sutherland.
