He was predeceased by: his parents, Ovington Millard Bennett and Banner Columbia Merritt Bennett (Lummie); his wife Polly; his sisters, Juanita Bennett and Betty Lane; and his grandfather Rob.
He is survived by: his children, Jay, Terrie Bennett, Jill and David Rudisill; his brothers, Bobby Bennett, Tootsie and Don Bennett; his brother-in-law Howard Tucker Jr. (Rita); his grandchildren, William Bennett, Casey, Matthew Bennett, Ashley, Meghan McNeill, Daniel, Meredith Currie and Chett; and his great grandchildren, Braxton, Matilyn, Cooper, Brooks Bennett, Tate, Luke McNeill and Baylor Currie.
