He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Howard Wood and Roxie Chilton Wood; his grandparents, Thomas and Molly Chilton; his wife Peggy Miller Wood; his son Jeff Wood (Karen); his grandchildren, Betsy (Charlie), Jennifer (Justin), Michael, Brian, Rebecca (Adam) and Graham; his son Greg Wood (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Davis and Henry; his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Liam and Elam; and his brother Rev. Ron Wood (Kaye).
