It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Darrell Marion of Pinnacle, North Carolina, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce Ray and Bettie Ashley Marion; and his sister Ann Marie Marion Peacock. He is survived by: his wife Linda York Marion; his sons, Jack Darrell Marion Jr. and Matthew Ashley Marion (Laura Eason Marion) of Garner, NC; his brother Ronald Ray Marion (Linda Holder Marion) of Pinnacle, NC; his nieces, Elizabeth Marion Hunter (John Wesley Hunter II) of Pilot Mountain, NC and Sydney Peacock of Raleigh, NC; his brother-in-law Richard Peacock of Clayton, NC; his granddaughter Cheyenne Champion of Garner, NC; and his great-niece Megan Poteat (Kit Kat) of Pilot Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The ALS Association North Carolina Chapter, 4 N Blount St #200, Raleigh, NC 27601.

“Linda,Jack,Matthew my heart aches for you guys. Jack was my co-worker and my friend. I got to meet the rest of you guys after Jack and I retired. It's so nice to meet a family that is so close like yours is. Jack truly enjoyed spending his time wirh his family. Family meant everything to Jack and he was so proud of his. He will be missed but he left us with so many wonderful memories. They will have to do until we see him again. Love you guys. Ken Prevette”
