He was predeceased by: his parent Sidney Andrew Love; his wife Virginia Elizabeth Tucker Love; and his siblings, Robert Love, John Love and Eva Edwards.

He is survived by: his son Wendel Love (Phyllis Graham) of Kernersville; his grandsons, Brian Todd Love of Raleigh and Timothy Reid Love (Katie) of Charlotte; and his great grandchildren, Bodi Ray Love and Lennon Gray Love.
