It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Benny Coleman Sr. of Pinnacle, North Carolina, who passed away on June 16, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Coleman and Elizabeth Cox Coleman of Nevada; his siblings, James Coleman, Donnie Gray Coleman, Rex Coleman, Verta Coleman, Lunda Denny and Edna Gordon; and his siblings-in-law, Glen Gordon, Phil Denny and Lois Coleman.
He is survived by: his wife Winifred Shelton Coleman; his children, Deborah King Melina, Theresa Coleman Bagley (Tres) and Benny E. Coleman, Jr.; his grandchildren, Josh Thomas (Kacey), Coral Russell and Spencer Russell; his great grandchildren, Island and Olivia Thomas; and his sister-in-law Audrey Coleman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
