He was predeceased by: his father JD Alphin; his stepfather Tom Deaver; and his mother-in-law Annie Ruth. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Alphin; his daughters, Kristie Alphin Cahoon (Chris) and Amanda Charity Stroud (Derek); his grandchildren, Hannah Moody (Justin Cox), Kaylie Moody (Spencer Bostic), Jaiden Moody (Nic Jones), Blake Cahoon, Wyatt Cahoon and Abby Elise Stroud; his mother Ina Whitley Deaver; his sister Wanda Gail Andrews (Allen); his niece Nickki Austin (David); his nephew Thomas Hill (Jaime); his aunt Christine Hill; and his close friend June Schaan "Cajun". He is also survived by great nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends.
